Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Loaded an Absence Entry HDL file successfully via the syntax below

where the work schedule of the person is time based so within the Absence Request HDL file provided StartTime and EndTime as described in the following online documentation where the work schedule is 8 hours a day. The file omits the Start Date Duration and End Date Duration per the online documentation, and based on the first full day and half the next day, expect that the Absence Duration is 1.5 days. However, when reviewing the information within the Fusion HCM UI, the Absence Duration is 1 Day.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Based on the Assignment Work Schedule for this employee, the Absence Duration should be 1.5 Days

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Follow the online instructions above to setup a time-based Assignment Work Schedule
  2. Load a Absence Entry HDL file successfully which includes the Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time and other required attributes, but omits the Start Date Duration and End Date Duration
  3. Observe that the employee's Absence Duration is 1 and not the expected 1.5 Days
