Forecast Export Performance Improvements (Doc ID 3050373.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 11, 2024

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Forecast export performance improvements needed.

The export week-level and day-level exports of the forecast data is taking a 3-4 hours, even after using the APPR_FCST_DAY_EXPORT_NUM_DY and APPR_FCST_EXPORT_NUM_WK parameters in the RSE_CONFIG table to limit the export ranges. Client like to run the week-level export once during the weekly batch and the day-level export every night. This is to ensure that any daily forecast adjustments and approvals are captured and loaded into MFCS throughout the week.
In previous versions, there was the ability to only export the item/locations that were approved on that day, rather than re-exporting the full forecast each time. This should limit the amount of data being exported and improve the job performance.
Steps:
 1. Run the AIF APPS nightly batch
2. The RSE_RDF_APPR_FCST_EXPORT_JOB and RSE_RDF_APPR_FCST_DAY_EXPORT_JOB jobs take 3+ hours to complete.
