Purpose

To document some common reasons which lead to OCFS2 network idle timeout.

Scope

The Network Idle timeout specifies the time in milliseconds before a network connection is considered dead. Normally one sees messages in the system log if OCFS2 finds the network interface idle for a period exceeding the timeout value.
