Symptoms

Problem Description:

You are seeing excessive reads and writes to the control file during loads 
using SQL*Loader.  This is noticed on 8.0.4, but according to developer 
comments this can occur on any version, and is expected behaviour.  The 
excessive I/O results in performance problems.
