Constraints Impacting Streams Apply Processing When parallelism > 1

(Doc ID 1106453.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 28, 2010

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: and later   [Release: 11.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Apply processing with parallelism > 1 is impacted by the constraints defined
between parent and child tables.

Foreign key constraints defined on destination database can cause Parallel Apply Servers to go in
"waiting for dependency" state resulting in increased APPLY latency.

When foreign keys on the destination database are removed, all apply servers work normally.
