Symptoms
- While using dbms_tts.transport_set_check to check a set of tablespaces for transport, a violation is recorded in the transport_set_violations view e.g. one of the following:
ORA-39921 Default Partition () Tablespace for not contained in transportable set (where object_type either 'Table' or 'Index')
Index <index name> in tablespace <tbs to be transported> points to table <table name> in tablespace <other tbs>
- Both exp and expdp will error out with ORA-29341 if you attempt to export the transportable tablespace set with violations
e.g.
expdp
Starting "SYSTEM"."SYS_EXPORT_TRANSPORTABLE_01": system/******** DUMPFILE=ttsa.dmp DIRECTORY=EIF TRANSPORT_TABLESPACES=ttsa ORA-39123: Data Pump transportable tablespace job aborted ORA-29341: The transportable set is not self-contained Job "SYSTEM"."SYS_EXPORT_TRANSPORTABLE_01" stopped due to fatal error at 13:50:41
exp
