Symptoms

Using Database Gateway for SQL*Server 11.2.0.1 (DG4MSQL) connecting Microsoft Sql*Server 2008 R2 from RDBMS 11.2.0.2.
Executing a select returns an ORA-28528 error when a SQL*Server timestamp column is in the select. If the timestamp column is not in the select then it runs okay.
On SQL*Server create a table -

CREATE TABLE Gateway_Test(
[timestamp] timestamp NULL,
[dummy] nvarchar(50) NULL
);

From Oracle -

SQL> select * from "owner"."Gateway_Test"@dg4msql;
ORA-28528: Heterogeneous Services datatype conversion error
ORA-02063: preceding line from DG4MSQL

no rows selected

but the following works -

SQL> select "dummy" from "owner"."Gateway_Test"@dg4msql;

dummy
