DG4MSQL 11.2 Failing With ORA-28545 TNS-12518 Linux Error: 32: Broken pipe (Doc ID 1305087.1)

Symptoms


After configuring the Oracle Database Gateway for Microsoft SQL Server (DG4MSQL) 11.2.0.1
on Linux x86-64 RHEL 5 a select statement from Oracle Server 11.2 fails with error -


ORA-28545: error diagnosed by Net8 when connecting to an agent



The listener.log shows the following errors -

09-MAR-2011 08:27:31 * (CONNECT_DATA=(SID=dg4msql)(CID=(PROGRAM=)(HOST=<HOSTNME>)(USER=oracle))) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=9999.99.99.999)(PORT=23948)) * establish * dg4msql * 12518
TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
TNS-12547: TNS:lost contact
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00517: Lost contact
Linux Error: 32: Broken pipe
