Unable To Run Object Type Translator (OTT) On Solaris X86-64 (Doc ID 1311793.1)

Symptoms

The ott command (Object Type Translator (OTT)) failed with the following error in Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4 on Oracle Solaris x86-64 (64-bit). The same command works in all other 32-bit platforms, Windows 64-bit and Linux 64-bit platforms.

ott userid=sec_offer/_sec_offer_@DEV9 intype=ott_in.typ code=C outtype=ott_out.typ hfile=OfferResponse.h
Error: could not find libjava.so
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.
