Symptoms
You are attempting to install 11gR2 (11.2.0) Database Server or Client and pass the parameter "-silent" when launching the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI). You receive an error similar to the following in the installActions log after executing runInstaller:runInstaller -silent -debug -force FROM_LOCATION=/downloads/oracle11gR2Client/client/stage/products.xml UNIX_GROUP_NAME=oinstall ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/client_1 ORACLE_HOME_NAME="OracleClient11g_home1" ORACLE_BASE=/u01/app/oracle oracle.install.client.installType="Administrator"
