AUX hostname :test
Primary Database:ORCL
AUX  database name :dup

 

This note explains the procedure of creating a Duplicate database using 11g RMAN DUPLICATE FROM ACTIVE DATABASE  database on same server with different directory structure.

The Active database enables user to create a duplicate database without having to take a backup of the primary database as a prerequisite step.

This Article examples how to duplicate database in same host and same oracle home as Production but in different directory structure for Windows and Unix
