Symptoms



Starting the instance using "srvctl start instance -d DBTEST -i DBTEST1" changes the group of the oracle binary.

Using srvctl to start the instance or database changes the group of oracle binary.

Before the database startup, the following is an example of the oracle binary group setting: 

ls -ltr <ORACLE_HOME>/bin/oracle
-rwsr-s--x 1 oracle oinstall 232272204 2012-05-13 02:36 <ORACLE_HOME>/bin/oracle

After database startup, the group setting of the oracle binary is changed to the following:
-rwsr-s--x 1 oracle asmadmin 232272204 2012-05-13 02:36 <ORACLE_HOME>/bin/oracle
