Datapump Import Worker Process Fails with ORA-00448 ORA-01403 (Doc ID 1550769.1)

Symptoms

While running Datapump import, the job fails with a fatal error in the import.log:

The alert.log shows the following errors reported by the datapump worker process(es):

Errors in file /<ORACLE_BASE>/diag/rdbms/<sid>/<dbname>/<FILE_NAME>.trc:
ORA-00448: normal completion of background process
ORA-01403: no data found


The trace file for the worker process shows many waits for 'XDB SGA initialization' until the worker processes start to report errors and the job terminates:
