Symptoms
- Parallel MERGE executes serial sporadically even when processes are available for parallel execution.
- MERGE Statement returns ORA-12827
e.g. MERGE Statement returns ORA-12827: insufficient parallel query slaves (requested 16, available 0, parallel_min_percent 25)
- px_trace shows information similar to the following:
kxfpValidateSlaveGroup [ 2595/ 2540]
serial - too few slaves after cb(qerpxSendParse)
