Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2024

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 2.0.1 and later
Linux x86-64

Purpose

The document provides steps for reimaging a single server using CD-ROM redirection to create a virtual CD-ROM image.  As an alternative to using CD-ROM reimage on X5-2 and higher BDA servers see: How to Reimage a Node Using NFS on BDA X5-2 and Higher Servers (Doc ID 2447669.1).  The recommended reimage option for X5-2 and higher servers, if reimage is required, is to use the steps provided in How to Reimage a Node Using NFS on BDA X5-2 and Higher Servers (Doc ID 2447669.1).

You can not use this document here to reimage to factory ship network settings.  If you want to CD-ROM reimage to factory ship network settings see: How to Reimage a BDA Server in Rescue Mode to Original Factory Ship Network Settings for 4.5 and Lower Base Images (Doc ID 2227956.1).
