Symptoms

On Oracle Big Data Appliance(BDA) an hourly batch job consumes all the space in the / partition resulting to shutdown of all related hadoop processes.

The directory is:

/var/log/hadoop-0.20-mapreduce/history/done/0.0.0.0_*******_/****

The contents are mostly verbose logging of the MapReduce processes and Hive queries.
