Sqoop Import From Teradata to HDFS Only Imports Distinctive Records With "--query" Option (Doc ID 1628463.1)

Symptoms

Sqoop import tool along with Teradata Connector to import data from Teradata to HDFS with "--query" option for a SELECT statement, it only imports the distinctive records.

In other words, the imported data in HDFS contains less records than the original data in Teradata if duplicates exists. The query "SELECT ... " statement has the same effect as "SELECT DISTINCT..." statement.
