Symptoms

RMAN 'recover database' or recovery of auxiliary database with RMAN duplicate hang indefinitely. 

Symptoms seen are:

Hang analyze showing:
waiting for 'parallel recovery slave next change'
waiting for 'parallel recovery read buffer free'

Trace file created containing message:

"Recovery Is Unrecoverable Because It Fails To Get A Free Buffer"
