Symptoms

Oracle Workflow background process (WF Workflow Background Engine) is failing with ORA-07445 errors
when run for deferred purchase order Approval item types.

Database alert contains these ORA-07445 exception errors and each time is followed by
"SMON: Parallel transaction recovery tried"
indicating the transaction was killed and SMON is trying to rollback the transaction.
