On Oracle Big Data Appliance 3.0.* Release Cannot Access Application Logs for Completed Jobs in the Resource Manager UI

Trying to access the application log of a completed job from the Resource Manager UI, by selecting an "application ID" and then "logs" raises below error ...

Failed redirect for container_1405459740055_0080_01_000001...
Failed while trying to construct the redirect url to the log server. Log Server url may not be configured Container does not exist.

The sequence to access the application log is:

1. Open Resource Manager UI thru Cloudera Manager(CM) ---> Yarn --> Web UI

2. Click on an application ID.  For example click on: application_1405459740055_0093.

3. Click on "logs".

a) First Screen: Trying to redirect to logs

b) Then on redirection below error is noticed
