In Oracle Big Data Appliance, how does Cloudera Manager manage the configuration values ?

For example, when you change "dfs.block.size" from 128MB to 32MB on Cloudera Manager GUI window, where does Cloudera Manager save the value of "32MB" ? In other words, when Cloudera Manager starts, what storage location does Cloudera Manager read the initial configuration values from ?

From the HDFS ? or
From any DataBase ? or
From any other storage area ?
