Symptoms
- Executing DBMS_STATS generates ORA-20002:
- If the database has been upgraded from an earlier version, DBMS_STATS.UPGRADE_STAT_TABLE works, as DBMS_STATS.UPGRADE_STAT_TABLE can be used only if the DB is upgraded to 12.1 from lower version and not for a newly installed 12c database.
- No invalid objects found in the DB.
