How to Change NoSQL Configuration Settings after Initial Installation on BDA? (Doc ID 2008906.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle NoSQL Database - Version 12.1.3.2.5 and later
Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.1.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Goal

On a BDA NoSQL cluster with 256GB of memory for each node, the initial install seems only to set 60GB for memoryMB for the initial configuration:

kv-> show parameter -service sn1
capacity=12
haHostname=<HOSTNAME1>.<DOMAIN>
haPortRange=5010,5030
hostname=<HOSTNAME2>.<DOMAIN>
memoryMB=60000
mgmtClass=oracle.kv.impl.mgmt.jmx.JmxAgent
mgmtPollPort=0
mgmtTrapPort=0
numCPUs=64
registryPort=5000
rnHeapPercent=85
rootDirPath=/opt/oracle/kvroot
serviceLogFileCount=20
serviceLogFileLimit=2000000
storageNodeId=1
Storage directories:
  /u12/kvdata
  /u04/kvdata
  /u02/kvdata
  /u05/kvdata
  /u10/kvdata
  /u07/kvdata
  /u06/kvdata
  /u01/kvdata
  /u11/kvdata
  /u09/kvdata
  /u03/kvdata
  /u08/kvdata

What is the procedure to change the value for memoryMB after the initial installation? If setting the memoryMB=0 on NoSQL node, will the system choose the appropriate value automatically?
