ORA-7445[kxcbexi()+55] Raised by MERGE Statement (Doc ID 2023152.1)

Symptoms

A MERGE statement fails with following error in the alert log:

 

This issue reproduces on 11.2.0.3, 11.2.0.4, 12.1.0.1, & 12.1.0.2.


Disabling the unique constraint will allow the MERGE statement to complete without error.


This error also occurs after applying <Patch 13990707> for a similar issue, but related to IOTs.  (Objects for the current issue do not involve an IOT.)
