Symptoms

Upgraded the database to 12c and after that job which rebuilds the text index is failing with below errors -


alter index TEST.CCSF_CMNT_TXTIDX rebuild partition CCSF_PART_2015Q2 parameters ('SYNC')

ORA-29960: line 1,
DRG-10595: ALTER INDEX CCSF_CMNT_TXTIDX failed
DRG-11000: invalid keyword SYNC

ORA-06512: at line 1

It was working before upgrade to 12c. Oracle Text is valid in DBA registry.
