Beeline Embedded Mode doesn't Output Query Progress after Setting Any Session Property (Doc ID 2052568.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) CDH cluster, executing hive queries by connecting to beeline using embedded connect string.

But setting any parameters in the beeline shell is disabling standard output which displays the progress of the query being executed.
