EM12c: "Oracle Home does not exist" Error Converting Standalone Database to Cluster Database in Exadata VM

12c EM Cloud Control running against an Exadata Virtualized Rack target.
There is a single instance database running on vm node dbadm01vm01 that needs to be converted to a Real Applications Cluster (RAC) database running on vm nodes dbadm01vm01 and dbadm02vm01.
Convert single instance database to RAC process in EM12c is failing with the following popup error:
Oracle Home location "/u01/app/oracle/product/220.127.116.11/dbhome_1" does not exist on target "dbadm01vm01.domain.com"
The home obviously does exist as the single instance database is currently up and running.
Testing the underlying rconfig utility on vm host dbadm01vm01, a different error is generated - from the rconfig log file:
