Symptoms
12c EM Cloud Control running against an Exadata Virtualized Rack target.
There is a single instance database running on vm node <EXADATA_DB_DOM_U_VM1> that needs to be converted to a Real Applications Cluster (RAC) database running on vm nodes <EXADATA_DB_DOM_U_VM1> and <EXADATA_DB_DOM_U_VM2>.
Convert single instance database to RAC process in EM12c is failing with the following popup error:
Oracle Home location "/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.4/dbhome_1" does not exist on target "<EXADATA_DB_DOM_U_VM1>.<DOMAINNAME>"
The home obviously does exist as the single instance database is currently up and running.
Testing the underlying rconfig utility on vm host dbadm01vm01, a different error is generated - from the rconfig log file:
