Symptoms

Using DG4ODBC 11.2 and the Easysoft ODBC driver 1.0.5.003 on AIX to connect to SQL*Server gives the error -

SQL> select count(*) from dual@hslink;
select count(*) from dual@hslink
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:

 There are no further error messages or information in the message returned.
