How to Run the Hive Metastore Cluster Verification Test Standalone on the BDA (Doc ID 2089880.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 11, 2022

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.2.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Goal

Provide the steps for running the Hive Metastore cluster verification test standalone on the BDA.  The goal here is that if ./mammoth -c reports a failure in the Hive Metastore test, you can run the test on the node(s) it fails on to further debug the problem.  Once the problem is identified and resolved you can use the standalone method to confirm the Hive Metastore cluster verification is successful without first running ./mammoth -c. Once all issues are resolved a final confirmation on cluster verification results can be made with ./mammoth -c.
