The purpose of this document is to provide information about Step by Step to move RAC database to new ORACLE_HOME location.

 0) Create a backup of the ORACLE_HOME (database binaries)
 1) Confirm the current RAC database ORACLE_HOME path
 2) Stop database
 3) Update the inventory to detach the RAC database ORACLE_HOME
 3-1) Confirm RAC database ORACLE_HOME in inventory
 3-2) Run the appropriate detachHome command to remove the current ORACLE_HOME from the inventory
 3-3) Confirm that the RAC database ORACLE_HOME was removed from the inventory
 4) Move (clone) RAC database ORACLE_HOME to new location
 4-1) Use the mv command to move RAC database ORACLE_HOME to new location
 4-2) Run clone in new RAC database ORACLE_HOME
 4-3) run root.sh according to the output of above clone.pl
 4-4) Confirm that the new RAC database ORACLE_HOME was registered in inventory
 5) Update environment variables, such as $ORACLE_HOME etc. to reflect the new RAC database ORACLE_HOME path
 6) Start database
