Symptoms

Cloudera Manager IMPALA_ASSIGNMENT_LOCALITY alerts are received while running the load balancer:

The health test result for IMPALA_ASSIGNMENT_LOCALITY has become concerning:
80.00% of assignments operating on local data over the past 15 minute(s). 16 local
assignments. 20 total assignments. Warning threshhold: 80.00%

 

Changes

The cluster was recently expanded.  Impala was not added to the new nodes of the cluster.
