ODA: Unable to Install Windows (Paravirtual (PV)) OS Guest on ODA VM Environments (Doc ID 2153481.1)

Symptoms

1) The steps described in the documents below were correctly followed to install Windows (Paravirtual (PV)) OS Guest on ODA VM environments:

  • ODAVP: How To Create a Fully-Virtualized Guests (HVM) from an OS ISO image (Doc ID 1524138.1)
  • ODAVP: Create HVM Guest from ISO in "1-Click" (Doc ID 2099289.1)

 

2) The VM was started and it started loading the ISO image to create the VM. But this operation is failing at the point where the "Loading files" progress bar goes by, and then the screen turned black in the VNC viewer. The blue Windows logo never appeared, nor any other installation screens.

3) The ISO in question has been previously validated and used to create VM servers under VMWare.
