After Configuring SSL for SES Using SHA2 Certificates, Getting "Cannot Convert Identity Certificate" in Search_Server log (Doc ID 2176141.1)

Symptoms

After following the process of securing the SES search service URL using the documentation here:

Secure Enterprise Search Administrator's Guide -- SSL and HTTPS Support in Oracle Secure Enterprise Search the below error appears in the search server log file:

"Inconsistent security configuration, java.lang.RuntimeException: Cannot convert identity certificate"

Changes

During the SSL configuration a new certificate was requested and received.  This certificate was signed with the SHA-256 algorithm.  This can be seen by clicking on the certificate on a Microsoft Windows machine and viewing the fields.
