Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2022

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.5.0 and later
Linux x86-64

The goals of this note are:

1. To explain how to share the HDFS usable space (for example 100GB) between two directories for example, "test1" & "test2" with disk space limited to (for example: test1 - 60GB and test2 - 40GB).

2. To provide guidance on how to set access permissions so users accessing the "test1" directory do not have access to the "test2" directory data and "test2" users do not  have access to "test1" directory data.
