Symptoms
When creating an online backup using MySQL Enterprise Backup (MEB) 4.0, the backup intermittently fails with the error:
The error can occur any time during the backup and is more likely to happen for fast disk subsystems such as fast SSDs than slower disk subsystems.
The issue only occurs with MySQL Enterprise Backup 4.0.0 through 4.0.3 (MySQL Server 5.7). Other versions are not affected.
Changes
The issue may start after upgrading to MySQL Server 5.7 and MySQL Enterprise Backup 4.0.
