Symptoms

Post DBMS_REDEFINITION constraint's GENERATED status changed to USER NAME.

After online redefinition of a table, the constraint's GENERATED status would be modified from GENERATED NAME to USER NAME.

Querying DBA_CONSTRAINTS before and after DBMS_REDEFINITION shows 'GENERATED' status modified from GENERATED NAME to USER NAME.

 

BEFORE:

SQL> select constraint_name,table_name,generated from dba_constraints
where table_name ='CUSTOM_INDEX_INFO';

CONSTRAINT_NAME TABLE_NAME GENERATED
------------------------------ ------------------------------ --------------
SYS_C0065056 CUSTOM_INDEX_INFO GENERATED NAME
SYS_C0065055 CUSTOM_INDEX_INFO GENERATED NAME

 

AFTER:

SQL>select constraint_name,table_name,generated from dba_constraints
where table_name ='CUSTOM_INDEX_INFO';

CONSTRAINT_NAME TABLE_NAME GENERATED
