Symptoms

After application of patch 25433352, queries using XML/JSON which previously worked now fail with errors:

ORA-00406: COMPATIBLE parameter needs to be 12.0 or greater

COMPATIBLE is set to 11.2 on the database but the same queries executed without error prior to applying the patch.
