Symptoms
Step 1 of Mammoth upgrade fails with the informational message:
The message is saying that the existing Mammoth version on the cluster is the same as the version which is being upgraded to. Therefore there is nothing for the upgrade to do, hence the upgrade terminates.
Perform the follow checks on Node 1 of the cluster as 'root' user.
1. To confirm the existing Mammoth version on the cluster:
- Verify the value of "MAMMOTH_VERSION" in /opt/oracle/bda/install/state/config.json.
- Verify the output from: "bdacli getinfo cluster_version".
Both of these should be the same and represent the version on the existing cluster.
For example in the case of an upgrade from Mammoth 4.4 to Mammoth 4.7:
a) The value of "MAMMOTH_VERSION" in /opt/oracle/bda/install/state/config.json would show:
