ASMFD: Implementing ASM Filter Driver after 12.2 GI Installation (Doc ID 2305707.1)

ASMCMD-9513 received when trying to label devices for use by ASMFD:
# asmcmd afd_label xvdc1 /dev/xvdc1
disk /dev/xvdc1 is already provisioned for ASM
ASMCMD-9513: ASM disk label set operation failed.


 The goal of this document is to provide the steps to implement the ASM Filter Driver (ASMFD or AFD) AFTER 12.2 GI installation.  This procedure applies to Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster and Oracle Restart Installations.  The same procedure may be used for migrating from ASMLib devices (Linux) as well as block and/or raw devices to ASMFD.
