Purpose

Oracle services on OpenVMS do not start automatically during machine startup and do not stop automatically during machine shutdown.

This document provides example DCL scripts and explains how to use them during machine startup and shutdown to ensure that Oracle Services are managed correctly.

The information presented here will be useful to Oracle DBAs and OpenVMS System Managers.
