Symptoms

OUI is being used to install Grid Infrastructure 12.2 or higher.

During run of root.sh, disk group creation succeeds but creation of ASM spfile fails.

The file asmca-<dateTimeStamp>.log shows evidence of successful disk group creation and spfile creation failure as illustrated in this example:
