How to Set Up a User Local Repository for Upgrading the BDA Kernel (Doc ID 2342830.1)

Purpose

This document describes steps to enable a local repository to upgrade the kernel on a BDA cluster. This document is intended for clusters where no public internet access is available.

The document includes sample steps for a UEK4 kernel upgrade to version: 4.1.12-94.5.9. Once a local repository is configured, you may continue with kernel upgrade via steps in How To Upgrade a Kernel on BDA V4.2 and Higher/V4.1 (Doc ID 2033797.1).

Scope

This document is intended for Linux System administrators or others who have responsibility to maintain BDA.  The steps in this document assume knowledge of Linux operating system and familiarity with Linux commands.
