Purpose

This document provides instructions on how to upgrade an Oracle Big Data Appliance CDH cluster to Oracle Big Data Appliance V4.11.0 using the Mammoth V4.11.0 Upgrade Software Deployment Bundle. The instructions provide steps for upgrading an Oracle Big Data Appliance OL6 system.

Note that Big Data Cloud Service (BDCS) 4.11.4 and onward supports a UI-driven upgrade feature. You have to manually upgrade to 4.11.4 to use that.  Therefor on BDCS use this MOS note for 4.11.4 upgrade and the UI-drive upgrade feature for post 4.11.4 upgrades.
