Symptoms

On one non-critical node of the cluster (where nodes 1-4 are critical nodes) the file /etc/openldap/ldap.conf is found to have a "." i.e. a dot at the end of the file permission.

Output looks like: 

Having a "." i.e. a dot at the end of the file permission indicates that the file has an access list with SELinux.
