Symptoms

Attempting to open the database fails in SQL*Plus as follows:

SQL> alter database open;
alter database open
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [4005], [1], [], [], [], [], [], [],
[], [], [], []
Process ID: 30941
Session ID: 191 Serial number: 3
