Goal

The goal of this document is to clarify parallel behavior when performing a Data Pump import of object metadata, particularly when using Oracle Data Pump in Transportable TableSpace (TTS) mode.

It must be stressed that this document deals with parallelism of object metadata (i.e. the object definitions), not parallelism of importing row data.
