ORA-02019 errors in Oracle alert.log After Drop an Oracle Database Link Not Used Anymore (Doc ID 2501977.1)

Symptoms

You have dropped a database link used to connect to SQL server which was not being used anymore,  However, you still are getting an ORA-02019 errors in Oracle alert.log.

Also, the RECO process is generating trace files

This problem can happen with any Oracle Database Gateway if the database link is dropped and a remaining in-doubt transaction still exist for that database link.
