After Primary Upgrade To 12.2, Rman Duplicate for standby fails with ORA -1103 Error (Doc ID 2508903.1)

Symptoms

After primary database upgrade to 12.2.0.1, rman duplicate to create standby fails with the below errors

RMAN-03002: failure of Duplicate Db command at 02/15/2019 08:33:36
RMAN-05501: aborting duplication of target database
RMAN-03015: error occurred in stored script Memory Script
RMAN-03009: failure of sql command on clone_default channel at 02/15/2019 08:33:36
RMAN-11003: failure during parse/execution of SQL statement: alter database mount standby database
ORA-01103: database name 'ORCL' in control file is not 'ORCL1'
