Symptoms

On : Oracle Database Appliance  (18.3.0.0.0)
HW Type: X7-2 S or M (but possibly generic )

Error attempting to Create Appliance

While attempting to create a new database appliance I configured the network on the host using configure-firstnet using the information provided.
When creating the appliance, the Client Access Network fields are blank and grayed out.
After configuring all the other information for the appliance the deployment failed with a network-related error message.

The message is the following

The job to provision the appliance failed.
Status Code: 400
DCS-11006: DCS-11006:Failed to configure network .


This is on an X7-2 Lite ( small or medium ) bare metal ODA running 18.3.0.0.0.

after executing FIRSTNET
