While applying patch OPatch fails with error

Start OOP by Prereq process.
Launch OOP...

/<ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch/opatch: line 1397: /tmp/oracle-home-<time stamp>/OPatch/opatch: Permission denied
/<ORACLE_HOME>/OPatch/opatch: line 1397: exec: /tmp/oracle-home-<time stamp>/OPatch/opatch: cannot execute: Permission denied
